Alfie Davis was shocked by how he shocked Gadzhi Rabadanov in the main event of PFL 9.
Davis faced Rabadanov in the headlining of a Friday night card at the Bojungle Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Davis won the $500,000 grand prize, but Rabadanov saw his 12-match winning streak end.
In the co-main event, former Bellator women’s flyweight champion Calmuce fought against Jena Bishop in a matchup between season semifinals in 2024. After a closely contested first round, Bishop almost got his armbar at Kalmuce and then moved on to deep triangular chokes.
Carmouche fought from the scene and arrived in round three, where she delivered a ferocious left hook that had Bishop on the floor, leading to the end of the fight to win the women’s flyweight tournament title.
The first World Tournament champion to crown the night was Marcillie Alves, who was originally not supposed to be on the bantamweight slate. However, the opportunity was knocked, and now Alves is the winner of the tournament after beating Justin Wetzel in a unanimous decision in the feature match.
In the lightweight main card opener, former CFFC champion Robert Watley won the biggest victory of his career with a third round stop for Mads Burnell, where Watley returned to the organization.
