The PGA Tour will return to Austin, Texas for next year’s FedEx Cup Fall Tournament, with popular YouTube group Good Good Golf serving as the title sponsor for the first time.
The Good Good Championship will be held from November 12th to 15th at the Fazio Canyon Course at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa.
The PGA Tour hosted the Dell Match Play at Austin Country Club from 2016 to 2023. This was the World Golf Championship, featuring the top 64 players from the Official World Golf Rankings.
Typically, not many top athletes appear at fall events. Rather, it’s a time when players who finish in the top 70 in the FedEx Cup aim to finish in the top 100 in order to retain a full card for the following year.
The fall schedule is still being finalized for 2026. Sponsorship for the Mississippi state tournament ended this year, and the Las Vegas tournament ended last year.
Good Good Golf started in 2020 and has grown to become one of the fastest growing brands in golf entertainment with a large following on YouTube. In March, the brand announced a $45 million funding round from Creator Sports Capital to expand Good Good Golf across content, retail and live events.
“This tournament is designed to bring together social and live communities from all walks of life who are passionate about golf,” said Matt Kendrick, Founder and CEO of Good Good. “With the PGA Tour and Omni Hotels & Resorts, we couldn’t find a better partner who not only appreciates our ethos, but also embraces it.”
The PGA Tour is trying to accommodate such groups with its Content Creator Classic series, which is being staged at several major events. This is the first time that such a digital brand has become the title sponsor.
The size of the wallet has not been disclosed. Most of this year’s FedEx Cup fall tournaments have reduced prize money to the $6 million range. The fall event will still award full FedEx Cup points (500 points to the winner) and a two-year exemption, but the winner will not be able to compete in the Masters.
