Liverpool was tied for a 2-2 draw against Arsenal in today’s Premier League, and Trent Alexander Arnold was booed by home fans.
The Reds were 2-0 within the first 21 minutes of the game and would be disappointed they dropped points here. They were fully under control in the first half of the game, but Arsenal was able to bounce hard in the second half, deserving a draw.
Liverpool should have won
The Reds had a chance to win the game late, but Andrew Robertson had no recognition of their goals.
Liverpool already have won the Premier League title and the outcome means nothing to them, but they will feel they could have easily won the game on another day. The Reds lacked effort in the second half, so Arsenal could have narrowed it down easier than a draw if they had 11 players on the pitch.
Mikel Merino was left with 10 minutes left, and his exit killed off momentum on the away side.
Liverpool fans blamed Trent Alexander Arnold for boos
Meanwhile, Arsenal fans and popular presenter Piers Morgan has denounced Liverpool fans for how he treated Trent Alexander Arnold during the game. England International was brought into the second half, and Liverpool fans booed him permanently.
The players chose to leave the club to a free transfer and join Real Madrid in the summer. It’s not going well with the loyal people of Liverpool. Morgan feels that booing one of the club’s best players is a pathetic decision.
Morgan wrote to X: “Liverpool fans are booing Trent Alexander Arnold. One of the club’s longest, loyal and loyal players helped them win the league, and now they’re looking for new challenges overseas.
Liverpool fans not only booed Alexander Arnold when he came, but also sang the names of former club captain Stephen Gerrard and Liverpool youth Connor Bradley.
