The 36-year-old former Indian National Cricket Team and Mumbai Indian (MI) leg spinner Piyush Chawla have signed up for the upcoming SA20 auction.
Piyush Chawla is not the only Indian to take part in the SA20 auction as there are 12 more Indian players who will win glove during events in South Africa.

On June 6, Piyush Chawla announced his retirement from professional cricket, ending his career spanning over 20 years. He played 192 matches in India in three Tests, 25 ODIs, 7 T20Is and Indian Premier League (IPL).

Chawla represented four teams: the Indian Premier League (IPL) – Mumbai Indians (MI), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Punjab Kings (PBK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Legspinner, India’s T20 World Cup winner and part of the ODI World Cup winner, wanted to play IPL 2025, but it was sold at auction and was recently active in the legend of the World Championships.

Piyushchaura of 13 Indians at SA20 auction
Piyush Chawla said in his retirement post that he would “get away from the crease,” but now he seems to want to make a U-turn and play SA20 in South Africa.
With his retirement from Indian cricket, he is eligible to play overseas leagues and is currently aiming to win deals in SA20, which is owned by the IPL franchise.

Chawla sets the base price at R1,000,000, while other Indians have a base price of R200,000, except for Imran Khan, who has a base price of R500,000.
In particular, current royal challenger Bengaluru (RCB) coach Dinesh Kartik is the only player so far featured in the SA20.
40 Pakistani players will register for SA20 auction
The SA20 Season 4 Player Auction took place in Johannesburg on Tuesday, September 9th, with a total of 784 players signed up for the event.
Of these, a total of 40 Pakistani players, including Azam Khan, Imam ul Haq, Abral Ahmed and Saim Ayub, have been registered for the auction. 150 UK players have also signed up for the event.
In the upcoming SA20 auction, teams will be given a R41 million salary cap to spend on players, the highest salary cap for the franchise T20 league outside of India. Each team also has 19 player slots in the final team, including wild cards.
