Preity Zinta, a Bollywood actress and one of the directors of KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited, approached Chandigarkot against co-directors Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia. The company owns the IPL franchise Punjab Kings.
She filed a lawsuit in court and challenged the legality of the extraordinary General Assembly (EGM) held on April 21. PreityZinta alleges that the meeting was held in 2013 in breach of secretary standards.
The Tension Behind the Scenes of the Punjab King
She alleges that EGM was detained despite objections raised in an email on April 10th. PreityZinta argued that her objections were moved ahead and ignored by a Berman who had held a meeting with Wadia’s active support.

Despite attending the meeting with other directors, she urged the court to declare that EGM would be illegally void. The Punjab Kings co-owner also prayed that the company and her fellow co-owners would be able to hold back from having an effect on the resolution passed at the meeting.

During the meeting, Munesh Kanna was appointed director despite objections from Jinta and another director, Karan Paul. Jinta in her case urged the court to suppress Kanna’s actions or restraining as the company’s director.
Court Issues Notice
She also asks that the company and other directors be bound by the company and other directors to convene further meetings and general meetings of the company, or to carry out business related to the company’s operations, in a modest manner, without her presence, Paul’s presence, and without Munesh Kanna’s presence.
According to the report, the court has already issued a notice to the defendant for submitting a reply in response to the lawsuit.
