The Tottenham Hotspur Chief gets hooked on another young “potential superstar” at the club.
Lucas Bergball and Archie Gray are really making progress in Tottenham
When called, Thomas Frank couldn’t ask for more from both men.
Young people have sometimes played an important role not only under Dane but also under Frank. Gray was forced to play from position with extreme professionalism during the Spurs’ injury crisis last season and stayed in his duties as much as possible.
Gray’s versatility is invaluable for Ange Postecoglou, who struggled with options throughout 2024/2025, and when it comes to matching the action this season, he certainly finds it difficult.
The former Leeds United starlet only played in the Premier League for a minute since playing Burnley on the first day, but he showed a flash of true quality when he came out from the bench to Bodeau/Grimt in the Champions League recently.
Frank has turned the British overturned for a “big future” despite having almost chosen him so far.
Gray is looking to fight the path to the stacked midfield of Tottenham where Rodrigo Bentanchour and Joa Pargigna formed an indomitable partnership in his position.
Every time the latter plays, Bergvall makes a £8.5 million relocation fee from Djurgardens look like a daytime robbery.

In a few days of space with West Ham and Villarreal earlier this season, the Swedes scored two players in the Match Award, scoring his first Premier League goal against the Spurs’ London rival, and impressed when they were given nods ever since.
“I think he had a good season last season, and that set the foundation for this season, and he is heading from strength to strength.
“He has so much energy that we have to tell him not to run (at a particular moment). It’s important that many of the deeper runs arrive at a higher position. He’s learning to get smarter and smarter. He needs his enthusiasm.”
Lily White also signed the 22-year-old Dutch Sensor Xavi Simons in RB Leipzig in the summer.
The attacking midfielder notched his first Premier League assist with West Ham and rocked in the corner where Papesar returned home, but has since failed to register a goal contribution.
Tottenham has convinced Xavi Simons that they are “potential superstars”
As a result, some minor concerns surround the Dutch International form, but there is zero concern within Tottenham, according to journalist Graeme Bailey.
That’s quite the opposite, as Spurs Insiders were “very impressed” with the Simons and believes that the people of North London have “potential superstars” in their hands.
“My belief in the club is that they have a potential superstar. They were very impressed with him,” Bailey told TBR Football.
“Thomas Frank takes time to find the best role, and that applies to many of his teams. But he loves what he sees. The players are happy, devoted and feel that they have made the right choice for the summer.”
Interestingly, Rude van Nistellouis has already said that Simons has a “unprecedented” mentality, which appears to be happening with Hotspur Way as the versatile forwards turn their heads behind the scenes.
Simons may have joined Chelsea, but according to superagent Ali Baratt, Frank was the key to convincing the former PSG sense to choose the other side of London instead.
“Xavi has a very strong mentality and great personality. Tottenham and Chelsea are both great clubs with solid projects and there was real interest from both sides,” Barat told RMC Sport.
“But Chelsea has always been clear with us, they had certain constraints that made it difficult to move forward in discussion.
“So when the discussion with Tottenham began, it became clear that this would be a perfect project for Zabi. I think his discussion with Thomas Frank was key to Zabi’s decision.”
