Crystal Palace is reportedly preparing to allow Captain Marc Guech to be sold this summer.
According to GivemeSport, the chief of Selhurst Park views Guehi’s departure as a necessary move to generate funds to strengthen the backline.
Guehi, whose contract is in the final 12 months of next season, is no longer guaranteed to stay beyond 2026.
The palace is not interested in overhauling the structure in just a year before risking a free departure.

Instead, they’re looking at over £50 million this summer to fund Diomande’s signature.
There is growing interest in Guehi and Liverpool currently leading the race to sign the English international defenders.
The Premier League champions are expected to take an official approach to defenders soon.
The defender’s signature has also received interest from Arsenal, but the palace star will support the gunners’ move to Liverpool.
It shows Liverpool’s intention to remain at the top of British football if he can sign one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
Liverpool aims to continue spending
The Reds, who have already secured signatures for players like Jeremy Frimpong and Florian Wiltz, are currently investigating the possibility of signing Guehi.
The centre-back is looking for moves that he can play football next season.
The Palace hopes to be able to sell early this summer so that it can use the funds for its summer transfer business.
Former England manager Gareth Southgate described Gehi as a “exceptional” player.
