Chelsea raced to sign Liverpool transfer targets in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Premier League teams are looking to strengthen their defensive positions this summer.
It’s important to sign a centre back. Chelsea struggles in the back, but Liverpool may need to replace Virgil van Dyke, who can leave the club as a free agent this summer.
Both teams have identified the same player as the potential new centreback and are ready to compete against each other to sign him.
According to football insiders, Chelsea is now part of a race signing Bournemouth defender Dean Huyssen, and joined Premier League rival Liverpool in the process.
Former Chief Scout Mic Brown claims that Chelsea will face Liverpool to sign the Premier League defender.
“He’s an incredible talent.” He told the soccer insider.
“From the center half, every aspect of the game you want, he has.
“He is tall, slim, airy, balls stepped in, quick and agile.
“He looks like a real top-class player, so it’s not surprising that many clubs, including Liverpool and Real Madrid, are watching him.
“Chelsea is the latest aspect to show because they really need to strengthen in the back, and they are ready to compete with other clubs for him.
“If Madrid or Liverpool are there for him, it could be difficult for them, but he is what they want.
“If you see his contract, I think he’s almost certain that he’ll leave Bournemouth this summer.
“Because there is a release clause there, these clubs have an incentive to pay more incentives as £55 million could be a bargain price in a couple of years.
“If he didn’t go to this stage, it would be a surprise to me.”
Dean Huyssen has begun a transfer battle between Cheslear and Liverpool
The Huijsen is extremely comfortable with the ball. He likes to play from behind with short passes, but he also has the vision and technique to provide accurate, long balls.
He is calm, using quick decision-making and trying to maintain his possessions. These qualities are what Chelsea and Liverpool are looking for in their new defenders. His performance this season has attracted attention from some of the world’s biggest clubs.
The defender has a £50 million release clause on his Bournemouth deal, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
