Liverpool is tied to the moves of Crystal Palace defender Mark Guech and could face competition from Newcastle United.
The 25-year-old Central Defender has linked his move from the Eagles and is hoping to join a big club this summer. The opportunity to play for the Premier League champions can be extremely exciting for him.
The player enters the final year of his contract, and Crystal Palace is under pressure to sell him. They will keep him at the club for future campaigns and cannot afford to lose him on a free transfer next summer.
They hope to collect as much as possible for the defender and sell him in the coming weeks.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the defender’s asking price has now fallen below £40 million, allowing Liverpool to file Guehi’s offer late in the window.
Liverpool can submit Mark Guehe’s offer
He said: “Marc Guech is the player Crystal Palace wants to sell, and Tottenham knows he will bid on him in January. Newcastle will potentially come there potentially, and Liverpool can bid as well.
Liverpool needs someone like a gamer
Joe Gomez is suffering from persistent injuries and Ibrahima Conate was able to transfer the club for free next summer. Liverpool needs to start planning for the future, and they need another reliable defender. Guehi excels in the Premier League and has the qualities to improve Liverpool. It will be interesting to see if they can beat Newcastle and defeat Guehe’s signature.
Magpies looked extremely vulnerable defensively last season and need a reliable partner for Sven Botman.
