It is understood that Newcastle United is trying again for the potential relocation of Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga.
Swedish International is doing well in Forest, rejecting an opening offer of £45 million for him this summer, as first reported by athletic David Ornstein.
However, sources with a good understanding of the situation are notified Catch off side Newcastle maintains contact information for Elanga.
Several sources have confirmed that Newcastle wants to try again for the Elanga, which could cost as much as £60 million.
At the same time, the Magpie is also keeping the options open with interest in Brighton forward Joao Pedro. Catch off side I understand.
Can Newcastle sign Anthony Elanga or Joa Pedro?
Newcastle has clearly prioritized the signatures of the attack this summer, but will they end up signing Elanga or Pedro?
NUFC still seems to be working on many different options, and while Elanga looks like a priority, Pedro is in sight too.
One problem is that Forest is determined to keep the Elanga up, but it seemed clear for a while that Brighton was open to selling Pedros at a reasonable price.
Newcastle is aiming for a strong transfer window
Newcastle needs a good summer after playing in the Champions League, but that means keeping their star name and adding more.
Catch off side I understand that Alexander Isaac is the best targets of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and others, but Newcastle is not going to sell it unless he brings crazy money like £150 million.
There was also a story that Anthony Gordon was looking at by Arsenal. So Elanga could be an ideal sign to ensure that Eddie Howe’s side remains strong in the attack.
