Los Angeles left-handed Blake Snell is heading for the list injured by shoulder inflammation. In a corresponding move, right-handed Matt Saur was recalled.

Snell threw the bullpen on Sunday morning, but spoke with trainer Thomas Albert and general manager Brandon Gomez.
The will need to find an alternative to Snell, which was supposed to start on Tuesday against Washingtonians. LA could call Landon Knack or Justin Wrobleski to fill out for the two Cy Young winners.
Snell’s ERA is a 2.00 ERA, with four strikeouts pitched in nine innings, but heading to the injured list early in the ‘ tenure.
The gave Snell a nod for the first day of the country.
At his introduction press conference, Andrew Friedman, president of the baseball business, said he expects Snell to flourish in Blue.
“Usually a guy who’s so successful in a major league free agency, you’re buying the behind the scenes of a guy’s career, the achievements they’ve had,” Friedman said. “In the case of Blake, one of the things that really exciting for us is that he’s as successful as he did, and beyond what he’s done to this point, beyond what he’s done to our quest to win this year’s World Series, and beyond the extent we can see, we feel there are more inverses out there.”
The 32-year-old is not used to the injury issue as he landed twice on the injured list alongside the San Francisco giants in 2024.
Hopefully, Snell will return earlier than late, but injuries are beginning to pile up for the defending champions. The good news is that the have a lot of pitching depth to provide reinforcement to the injured starter.
