Carlos Alcaraz won the 2025 French Open Men’s title, beating Janik Sinner 4-6, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), and 7-6 (10-2) in the epic final on Sunday.

According to ESPN’s survey, the five-hour and 29-minute matches are the second-longest men’s major finals behind the 2012 Australian Open during the 2012 Australian Open.

The incredible victory gives Alcaraz his fifth career grand slam title. 22 years and 34 days ago, he was the third youngest man to win five majors during his open days.

Before Sunday, he was 0-8 in the majors when he dropped his first two sets, but Thinner won 39 consecutive games in the majors after winning the first two sets. Alcaraz saved three match points in the fourth set, and after saving at least three match points, he became the third man in the open era.

Congratulations to Alcaraz after the classics.
