While Dana White kept the world of MMA waiting several hours, he made several major announcements about the UFC’s upcoming pay-per-view slate, including promotion to Madison Square Garden.
The UFC CEO announced on Instagram Live on Thursday night that Jack Della Maddalena will place the welterweight title in the line with former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev on New York City’s November 15th fight card. Instead of this massive opportunity, the straw weight belt.
UFC 322 also includes a pivotal welterweight matchup between former champion Leon Edwards and burgeoning competitor Carlos Plets.
The UFC 322 business was featured, but UFC 321 also added a few titles. With Zhang winning the 115 pound title, Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern will face a rematch of the vacant title in the joint main event of the UFC’s Abu Dhabi Pay-Per-View card. White also announced Umar Nurmagomedov vs Mario Bautista for the card.
