West Ham United’s Bosnuno Espirito Santo swung the x for midfielder James Ward Prowls, but one player moved him behind the scenes with Rush Green.
Nuno makes a key West Ham decision to pile up at Arsenal
Hammer took on Premier League title contender Arsenal this weekend, with Nuno barely able to take charge of the tougher second game.
West Ham looks as soft as butter in all respects, especially when it comes to set pieces, and blackmailing out of dead ball situations is something Arsenal seriously specializes in.
West Ham’s previous Premier League results |

Sunderland 3-0 West Ham |
West Ham 1-5 Chelsea |
Nottingham Forest 0-3 West Ham |
West Ham 0-3 Tottenham |
West Ham 1-2 Crystal Palace |
Everton 1-1 West Ham |
Mikel Arteta’s side can spend the field day if the hammer doesn’t resupply at that point and quickly, if Nuno is trying to build on a solid 1-1 draw at Everton on Monday.
“That’s a problem we have to solve,” Nuno said of the weaknesses of their set pieces.
“We’ve been working on that and I think we improved in the last game, and that’s definitely something we’re trying to deal with.
“Today, the set pieces have a big impact on the game. The ball header is good. Just adjust the timing and defensive flow.
We know Saturday is a good test in this area, but we’re working on it. ”
Plus, Nuno has already decided that Ward Prowles is not part of his long-term plan – just under a year since Nottingham Forest was still in charge at 51 and shortened the loan spell – he clearly doesn’t value the midfielder that much.
Ward Prowles has been xed by the Match Day team for a trip to Everton in West Ham, and since then, reliable reports have claimed that the 30-year-old is expected to leave in January.
Fabrizio Romano also backed up the British’s chances of winter departures. Journalist Dean Jones suggests he can rejoin Southampton when his exit appears to be nailed.
But while Ward Four appears to be pushing him out the door, Nuno has a total dissent on defender Max Kilman.
Nuno says Max Kilman is absolutely shining in West Ham training
The former wolf boss has been working with Killman on Molineux for years, and Nuno says the centre-back has impressed him with Rush Green with his work ethic in training.
“Looking back, you can see how far he’s come. It’s already a 200 (senior club) game for Max, and I’m happy for him,” Nuno said at a previous press conference.
“He’s an important member of our team. He knows how we approach things, what kind of training we want, and how to face competition. He’s been extremely helpful to us so far.
Nuno’s arrival may be something that Killman needs to rediscover his best form. Because the pair enjoyed a very productive relationship with wolves.
The 28-year-old said he was seriously convinced of his development when Nuno worked together in Midlands, and told the Birmingham Mail in 2020 that the West Ham boss helped him understand the game better.
“I was a big, strong boy, but I was able to work on a lot,” Kilman said as he explained the impact Nuno had on him.
“(Nuno has improved) my understanding of the game and my physicality. When I went in, I had never played 5 in the back so I had to understand and understand my role as a defender.
“I had to figure out when, when to push it firmly into my man, when to cover it, and how to cover the wing bag and five of them.
“Nuno and the whole staff don’t just say, ‘That’s enough.’ There is always room for improvement and they are always trying to find ways to make us a little better. ”
Interestingly, Kilman stood out as West Ham’s co-best performer alongside Alphonse Areola with Everton (whoscored).
