Little was assigned to Triple A Indianapolis and added to Pittsburgh’s roster of 40 people.
He made two appearances for the this season, allowing him to win two times with four hits in 2025 in three jobs with the defending champion.
The rookie thrusts Fernando Tatis Jr. into a 1-1 fastball during the ‘ rival series against the Friers. Tensions reached an all-time high following hits on the pitch. This marks the third time Tatis was hit by a pitcher in the last nine days, and the bench has cleared.
Padres manager Mike Schilt drove off the dugout to check on Tatis and began screaming in the direction of Dave Roberts. The two skippers confront each other near the home plate, resulting in both Schilt and Roberts being thrown.
“I’m trying to take the starter out of the game, try to start this game over and get this kid a few innings,” Roberts said after the rival game in June. “And that’s why I felt that personal. I understand the game and I understand that it’s bad to be a hit.”
Both Little’s appearances in the were against the bitter rivals, the Padres and the Houston Astros. Now the rookie begins a new chapter in his career with the Pirates.
