Former Los Angeles bailer Jose Urenya selected free agency in mid-June after being designated for assignment by the team.

Now the right-handed pitcher has found his next home. Urena has signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins. He was assigned to Triple A St. Paul.
Urenya made two contestants for the in 2025. He allowed one run in three innings pitched against the New York Mets in early June. He threw two strikeouts and issued one walk in two games with 37 pitches.
The right-hander produced a 3.00 ERA and a 1.667 whip in a short stint with the . Urena joined the defending champion after six appearances for the Toronto Blue Jays earlier this season.
He posted a 3.65 ERA in 12.1 innings pitched in Toronto. The Blue Jays then designated Urenya for their allocation and were picked up by the , who have exhausted pitching staff.
The veteran bailout began the year with the Mets on a minor league contract, and once appeared in the National League powerhouse. Urenya allowed five runs in three innings on her sole outing with the Mets.
The right-hander has a 4.78 ERA in 966.2 innings pitched in 966.2 innings.
And Urena joins the fourth team of the season.
