Leeds United are interested in improving their midfield units during the summer transfer period and have identified Abduay Sisako as a target.
The French defensive midfielder has done very well for KV Kortrijk, and a report from AfricaFoot claims that multiple clubs are eager to sign him in the coming months. Leeds is also monitoring his progress, and it is still unclear whether an official offer will come forward to get the deal done.
Leeds is currently seeking promotion to the Premier League and will need to improve their team during the summer transfer.
Signing a quality defensive midfielder can prove to be a wise decision. The 26-year-old powerhouse not only helps protect the Back 4, but also allows creative players to run with more freedom. Sissako has the physicality and technical attributes to get along well in British football, and he could become a key player in white people.
Abdoulaye Sissako may want to join
The opportunity to play for England next season will be very appealing to midfielders. He is entering the peak period of his career and he will want to compete at the highest level. If Leeds can secure promotion to the Premier League, they will be a very attractive destination for players. French midfielders certainly want to join them.
Leeds may need quality players at their disposal if they want to survive on top flights next season and need to improve defensively. Sissako has 4.5 balls recovered and two tackles per game this season. The 26-year-old certainly helps them tighten up in the back, and he also helps them to control the game.
It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can secure an agreement in the coming months.
