  • Will the Boston Red Sox trade Jarrenduran?

Jaren Duran believes the Boston Red Sox are “a really good team” after another defeat on Monday.

In a disastrous first inning for the hosts, the Angels took a 6-0 lead with three home runs. This turned out to be a deficit that was too big to overcome as Los Angeles won 7-6 in Boston.

The Angels became the first team visiting team in Fenway Park history in the first innings. And it’s quite a feat considering that since 1912 the stadium has been a famous landmark for Major League Baseball.

The Red Sox fell 29-33 during the season, but nearly half of their losses (16) came in a singular run, with All-Star Center fielder Duran suggesting that those defeats are more than a capable side.

“Personally, I say we’re a really good team. We’re in a lot of games. We need to get through the hump.”

Will the Boston Red Sox trade Jarrenduran?

Duran sounds like he’s all in the Red Sox, but he may not have to hold back on this disappointment for long, as the San Diego Padres reportedly have a strong interest in dealing with players.

The Padres expressed interest in Duran before the start of the 2024 season, and with Boston’s lack of starting in 2025, the front office may think he can consume consumables at his highest trade value ever.

The 28-year-old was a breakout year in his previous campaign, being named All-Star for the first time, winning the All-Star Game MVP Award, earning the All-MLB second-team honor, leading the American League in triple.

San Diego is looking for reinforcements in Duran’s position after crashing face to face against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday.

Duran hasn’t been a big hit at the heights he’s reached in 2024 so far this year, but has hit .265 with four home runs and 44 RBI.

The Red Sox have the top of Roman Anthony, a left fielder who ranks as the No. 1 prospect in both the baseball America and the MLB pipeline, ready to step up from the Triple A Worcester Red Sox.
