Crystal Palace is interested in signing Sevilla Defender Juan Russánchez this summer.
According to a report by Fichajes, the 21-year-old is also a target for Everton, and has already begun contacting him about the summer move. They will now face competition with the Eagles, who are preparing to bid for defenders.
The report adds that Sevilla is worried about losing players. Meanwhile, wolves are also enthusiastic about Sanchez.
Everton is sharp in Sanchez
Sanchez is outstanding for Sevilla and there is no doubt that he will be a quality acquisition of two Premier League clubs. Everton needs to find a quality, long-term alternative to Sheamus Coleman, and Crystal Palace is about to add even more depth to that area of the pitch.
The report argues that the offer of around 20 million euros could be the starting point for negotiations. It is still unknown how the situation will develop. The opportunity to move into the Premier League could be exciting for young defenders. British regular football could help him improve further and fulfill his potential.
Crystal Palace can use Juan Russánchez
Crystal Palace secured European football for upcoming campaigns after winning the FA Cup last season. It will be interesting to see if they will come forward with a favorable suggestion to sign players. They look vulnerable at back last season and need to improve in that area of the pitch. Sanchez helps them tighten defensively, and he contributes to the offense as well.
He was young enough to improve further and was able to grow into a key player for the club. The 21-year-old can also run as a winger on the right. His versatility is an extra bonus.
If Crystal Palace or Everton signs the player for 20 million euros, it could prove to be a solid investment for the future. Defenders have the qualities that justify spending in the long term. Sanchez was linked to Liverpool last year.
