Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins is reportedly ready to accept a move to Manchester United if he receives his offer this summer.
Watkins, which Villa rated at around £50 million, has established himself as one of the top strikers in the Premier League these days, which could be a major upgrade to Old Trafford’s Rasmus Hoilund.
Catch off side Recently, he has reported on Man UTD’s interest in Watkins and has been updated further on the future of England International.
According to Gibing Me Sport, the £50 million rated Watkins is open to travel to United if an opportunity arises.
Still, it remains to be seen whether Red Devils will definitely advance Watkins as its biggest target.
Ollie Watkins could leave Aston Villa for Manchester United
It would be a big blow for Villa to lose Watkins to MUFC, especially since Unai Emery’s side is actually in a much stronger situation.
The Midlands outfit may have missed the Champions League qualifiers a little, but they still have Europa League football looking forward to next season.
In contrast, United appears to be stuck on a real rut after finishing 15th at the table.
Still, they still remain names large enough to seem to seduce someone like Watkins.
Summer has been late so far for Man United
After the summer transfer period slowly began, it is clear that Reuben Amorim’s side needs a Watkins-like signature.
According to Athletic, the club has improved Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo bid, but so far only Masteus Cunha has come in.
However, I imagine that players will also need to be sold, but Amorim still has unnecessary non-fits on the team like Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho.
