Arsenal has significantly boosted the pursuit of Crystal Palace midfielder Ebebekieze as it is reportedly eager to move to Emirates Stadium this summer.
According to Football Insider, the 27-year-old offensive midfielder is keen to play in the UEFA Champions League and join Mikel Arteta’s team, motivated by the opportunity to challenge the Top Honors.
Eze, a brilliant performer at Crystal Palace since his arrival from Queens Park Rangers in 2020, has evolved into one of the most creative and technically talented midfielders in the Premier League.
In his four-year stint at Selhurst Park, the midfielder made 167 appearances, contributing 40 goals and 28 assists.
Eberechi Eze hopes to join Arsenal this summer
Journalist Pete O’Rourke told a soccer insider.
“It seems Arsenal is really aiming for that in the summer transfer window.
“The key here is that Eze is very interested in moving from the palace to Arsenal.
“This is an opportunity to play Champions League football, play at the highest level and compete for honors regularly.
“He had the taste of that last season at Crystal Palace when he scored the winning goal in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
“Eze is clearly a confident player and I feel he can go to Arsenal and make an impact there.”
The gunners are active in the transfer market
Arsenal, who continues to rebuild their team ahead of the next season, has already secured signatures from Kepa Alizabaraga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.
These arrivals come in mid-re-shuffle, where we saw experienced names like Jorgignho and Thomas Party.
The addition of Eze will further strengthen Arteta’s creative options and will make a statement to rivals that Gunners means business.
The player is said to believe that he can thrive at Arsenal under Arteta and take his game to another level by competing for top honors.
Crystal Palace is likely to charge a significant fee for one of its star players, but the report shows that Arsenal is closely monitoring the situation and could take an official approach soon.
