Arsenal is reportedly interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Mark Cassad during the summer transfer period.
According to Fichajes, they are preparing an offer of 40 million euros to sign the 21-year-old midfielder. Barcelona is not going to get in the way if the right offers come in. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can convince the Spanish champion to sell the players.
Arsenal needs midfield depth
Arsenal needs more depth and quality in the middle of the park, and the 21-year-old will be a long-term investment. The 21-year-old defensive midfielder will help Arsenal tighten up in the back, and he will also try to break the offensive moves of the opposition. He was able to support Declan Rice in the middle of the park, and signing a defensive midfielder like him could help Arsenal improve in the back.
Meanwhile, he had six assists to his name last season, and he also helps with creativity. Age 21 only improves through coaching and experience. He has all the tools to develop into Arsenal’s top-class player.
Mark Cassad may fantasize about movement
Arsenal is one of the largest clubs in the country, and the opportunity to join them could be very exciting for the young midfielder. They have recently been fighting for the league title and the UEFA Champions League. But they managed to get over the line. Bringing some quality additions this summer will help them win the trophy.
Cassad has received high praise throughout Europe and was previously labelled as an “animal” by Luis de la Fuente. He had been linked to Chelsea a few months ago.
Arsenal has been doing well over the years to groom talented young players and was able to help him realize his potential. This move is ideal for all involved. Barcelona has financial restrictions, and selling a 21-year-old can increase the financial resources for their transfers.
