Arsenal is reportedly ready to test his luck with the moves in the summer transfer window for Real Madrid forward Rodrigo Goes.
Brazil International shines for Real Madrid, but since the arrival of Killian Mbappe last summer, it has not been guaranteed a normal starting spot.
Also, it appears that Rodrigo will have a difficult time keeping his place in the Bernabeu as talented young striker Endric comes along.
On top of that, according to Fichajes, they are likely keen to win cash for around 100 million euros from Rodrygo as they are trying to raise funds for ambitious new signatures like Dean Huijsen and Alvaro Carreras.
According to the report, this would give Arsenal an opportunity, and could set the gunners to land the 24-year-old at a asking price of less than 100 million euros.
Rodrigo checks all the boxes at Arsenal
Even if Rodrigo is currently unable to frequently enter Madrid’s starting XI, it is not dishonorable when he sees the competition he is opposed.
He had no problems with Arsenal. There, it will be a major upgrade of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Torosad, potentially a major upgrade to Kai Herberts and Gabriel Jesus at center forward.
Rodrigo can play both roles well, so it could be a good, versatile addition to give Mikel Arteta’s aspects a bit different in advance.
Rodrigo managed to solve the struggle of scoring Arsenal’s goals
Rodrigo may not be the most prolific player in the world, but the AFC can’t afford to do anything too loud.
With 13 goals and seven assists in every competition this season, if he was given more playing time, you can imagine him being able to match or even better.
See below for more information on how his league statistics compare to Arsenal’s current forwards…
start | the goal | assist | |
Rodrigo | twenty two | 6 | 5 |
Habatsu | twenty one | 9 | 3 |
Martinelli | twenty three | 8 | 4 |
of | 19 | 6 | 10 |
Torosad | 27 | 8 | 6 |
Rodrigo is probably not enough to solve Arsenal’s problems, but if he joins another top attacking player, he can form part of an exciting new look attack.
Still, his asking price probably has to drop considerably for the deal to be worth it.
