According to Guardian Jonathan Wilson, Real Madrid is looking at Arsenal’s promising young talent, Mile Lewis Skelly.
The 18-year-old, who emerged as a consistent performer at Arsenal, has attracted attention from the Spanish giants due to the uncertainty surrounding his future at Emirates Stadium.
Lewis Skelly enjoyed a groundbreaking season with Arsenal, making 39 appearances in all competitions.
The versatile player, deployed primarily as a left-back, also showed off his midfield ability, reflecting his adaptability and football intelligence.
Miles Lewis Skelly even made his English debut
His performance was not noticed, and he won a call for the England national team, scoring in his debut against Albania.
Despite his rapid rise, deal extension talks between Lewis Skelly and Arsenal reportedly remained stagnant.
The current deal for the player, signed in October 2023, is expected to expire in 2026, but negotiations for a new contract have not progressed as expected.
This impasse warns Real Madrid that they consider the possibility of signing a young talent if the situation remains unresolved.
Wilson reported:
“They (Arsenal) have to sort out Miles Lewis Skelly’s contract, which will expire next summer.
Arsenal can’t lose players like Lewis Skelly
Real Madrid’s interest shows Lewis Skelly’s reputation is growing in European football.
Even at such a young age he became an Arsenal starter and impressed Real Madrid with his performance.
As far as gunners are concerned, they can’t afford to lose any special talent like Lewis Skelly or Arteta.
The North London Club is interested in the moves of RB Leipzig attacker Benjamin Sesco.
Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman is also solid on the Arsenal Manager’s radar.
