Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli reportedly has been attracting more interest from Saudi Arabian professional league clubs than in the summer.
Brazil International has been an important part of Mikel Arteta’s first team in recent years, but his form has gone downhill slightly over the last year or so.
It appears Arsenal may be open to offering Martinelli a new deal, but according to Sport, he may get an attractive offer from Saudi Arabia.
I imagine this as an interesting situation and a saga that divides Arsenal fans.
But others may feel strongly that now could be the best time to win cash for him.
Can Gabriel Martinelli return to his best for Arsenal?
Martinelli looked really strange when he first joined Arsenal as a teenager. He probably produced his best season with the Giants in North London in 2022/23.
That year, Martinelli scored a total of 15 goals in 36 Premier League matches, but has since managed a total of 13 in two seasons.
While it’s not surprising that Arsenal is looking at wingers like Nico Williams and Antoine Cementhoro this summer, their reports also suggest that there could be “significant” sales.
Martinelli may make sense as its important sale. Because he doesn’t seem to be able to meet the possibilities he showed early in his career.
Arsenal has made the difficult decision to do it at Martinelli
Arsenal may help give up Martinelli and try someone else in that position.
But at the same time, Martinelli is only 23 years old, so if given a chance, he could turn his career around.
Selling someone like Trossard might make more sense as he is already 30 years old, so maybe he doesn’t have the highest level of long left.
