Arsenal faces tough competition for Ipswich Town Star
Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are thought to be interested in signing Dellup this summer. Ipswich is believed to be asking for £40 million from the forward, just joining the club from Manchester City in the summer of 2024.
Delap had an impressive season, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists in 28 Premier League appearances, but his club stares at the relegation barrel that appeared last season.
Delap’s style play drew comparisons to Harry Kane. Former Arsenal forward Theo Walcott told BBC Sport in February 2025 that Delap was “old-fashioned number 9.”
Arsenal reportedly had an argument with Dellup camp and was said to have been impressed with his confidence.
The British are considered open to transitioning to Premier League clubs this summer, with ambitions to make an impact at the highest level. Tottenham and Liverpool are said to have also been involved in consultations with Dellup representatives.
