Arsenal is linked to Aston Villa’s move to attack midfielder Morgan Rodgers.
According to a report by The Mirror, Arsenal is pondering the potential moves for the 23-year-old this summer. Kai Havertz is on the sidelines with injuries and they need to replace him too.
Morgan Rogers turns his eyes to Arsenal
Rogers has been an exception for Aston Villa for the past 12 months, and he has established himself as one of the best playmakers in the league. He was also correctly selected as the PFA Young Player of the Year.
Chelsea also links with Rogers. The midfielder is also attracting interest from Tottenham.
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal moves forward with an offer to sign him. He is a quality long-term acquisition for the gunner, and he adds goals and creativity to the side. The player scored 14 goals last season and also scored 16 assists. It’s definitely good enough to play for the largest club in the country. But Aston Villa wouldn’t want to lose one of their best players.
Villa doesn’t want to lose Rogers
They have already approved Leon Bailey’s departure this summer, and they don’t want to weaken their attacking forces even further. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can convince Aston Villa to sell the players. It is fair to assume that they must move forward on an absurd amount of money in order for them to persuade them.
Aston Villa is looking to qualify for the Champions League, and losing one of the key players would be a big blow. They struggle to replace his quality players.
Unai Emery doesn’t want to lose one of his best players. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will follow up on their interests with an official offer to test WestMidlands Club’s resolve.
Meanwhile, Arsenal is pushing for league titles and they need as much quality as they can get. Signing the 23-year-old is a big coup for them and he could be a star for them in the long run.
