Aston Villa and West Ham United are among the frontrunners to sign Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid.
The 21-year-old striker needs regular minutes and has been linked with a move from away La Liga clubs. Garcia has started just one league game this season. Prior to that, he was in great form at the FIFA Club World Cup, scoring four goals in six appearances.
Milan Live reports that several clubs are interested in signing the Spanish striker, but two Premier League clubs are currently leading the race. Whether they can complete the deal remains to be seen.
Gonzalo Garcia is a top talent
Garcia is highly regarded across Europe and has been labeled a “great” player in the past. He has the qualities to develop into a reliable Premier League striker and both clubs will do their best to secure his signature. It will be interesting to see if they can convince Real Madrid to sell Garcia.
Although he is not a regular in the team, he is highly regarded at the Spanish club. Maybe they don’t want to lose a promising talent like him. He has all the qualities to develop into a top-class striker with the right guidance. Real Madrid prevented García from leaving the club in the summer.
Will Real Madrid sell Garcia?
Perhaps Real Madrid would prefer the player to finish on loan so that he can continue his development in regular football at another club and come back as a better player in the future. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Aston Villa and West Ham need more quality and depth in their final third and the 21-year-old would be an unusual long-term investment for them if they can get a deal done. It would be a massive coup for both clubs.
They have the financial power to pay a premium for a young attacker, which could be a smart long-term investment.
