Aston Villa are reportedly among the clubs interested in a potential move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.
The Ukrainian international could end up leaving the Bernabéu in the near future, as he is not playing regularly at the Bernabéu due to the presence of Madrid number one Thibaut Courtois.
Still, Lunin previously featured for the team to cover for Courtois’ injury and impressed for Los Blancos.
And according to Fichajes, this has led to Villa showing interest in the 26-year-old as a potential replacement for Emiliano Martinez.
According to the newspaper, Real could let Lunin go for around 25-30 million euros, which could be a bargain for the underrated keeper.
Andriy Lunin’s move to Aston Villa could make him a player to watch
Lunin didn’t have many opportunities to show what he was good at, but when he did play, he certainly made an impression.
A move may be a bit of a gamble for a player who has mostly been a substitute, but Villa should seriously consider finding a replacement for Martinez.
The Argentine has been a star for Unai Emery’s side in recent years, but there was uncertainty over his future over the summer.
His form is also probably down a bit, so AVFC might be better off bringing in Lunin as their new number one.
Real seem willing to let Lunin go for a reasonable fee, which could be the best option on the market for the position at the moment.
