Despite the success of this season, many players are about to leave Liverpool this summer.
Outgoing is already underway, and Trent Alexander Arnold decided to leave the club after spending his whole life at Anfield.
The English international defender leaves for a new challenge away from the Merseyside club, and he is not the only player to leave the club this summer.
Midfielder Harvey Elliott could be another player who could leave the Premier League champion for more playing time.
Another player who spent most of the season on the bench is approaching his move from Anfield.
Caoimhin Kelleher is on his way out of Liverpool
According to a soccer insider, Aston Villa’s pursuit of Liverpool goalkeeper Khaoimhin Kelehar has gained momentum, and Liverpool is preparing to accept the offer to the 26-year-old shotstopper.
Kelleher, a researcher for Allison Becker at Anfield, is looking for regular first-team football, and Villa’s interest comes after the need to replace Emiliano Martinez, who is expected to leave the club this summer.
The signature of Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili in Liverpool suggests that Keleher can go further down the pecking order, and that he is more likely to move out of Anfield.
His quality players deserve to play weekly, and not possible in Liverpool as they are available to other players.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke provided an update on Kelleher’s potential moves to Aston Villa.
“Kelher will be a very big part of Aston Villa’s wanted list.” He told the soccer insider.
“Liverpool is open to selling him this summer and will accept the right offer, especially when players enter the final year of his contract at Anfield.”
Aston Villa could be the ideal club for Kelleher
Kelleher needs to leave Liverpool immediately to reach his full potential. He needs more playing time and Aston Villa can offer it with Martinez, who is likely to leave the club this summer.
The villa also allows goalkeepers to play in European competitions next season, with Unai Emery’s side becoming an attraction option for the Liverpool star.
Along with Kelleher, there are reports that Konate Ibrahima is linked to travelling from Anfield.
