Aston Villa is reportedly working to bring Marco Asensio back to the club with a permanent 10 million euro transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spanish playmaker spent the second half of last season renting out at PSG’s villas, and he worked well in a short stint in British football.
According to Sky’s Sacha Tavolieri, Asensio appears to be returning to Villa Park on a three-year deal.
Asensio is what appears to be a great move for the Villa to strengthen its midfield division while attacking, and is expected to cost 20 million euros to sign forever.
Jacob Ramsey leaves his villa in Newcastle as per Fabrizio Romano’s post below, so Asensio looks like a great alternative…
Romano claims that Ramsey will travel from the villa to Newcastle for £40 million, so bagging alternatives like Asensio for just 20 million euros makes it look like a really smart business.
Marco Asensio returns to Aston Villa
AVFC fans will certainly be pleased to bring Asensio back to the club after his positive impact last season.
Emery and co. He did some great work during his transfer period last January, lending both Asensio and Marcus Rashford.
Rashford never stayed, but it appears to be Asensio’s will. That should be a boost for the team in the future.
The 29-year-old may no longer be at the peak of his strength, but his days remain a quality performer with excellent abilities and techniques.
It wasn’t the easiest window for the villa, but this definitely makes good news when it goes official.
