Leeds United are aware that their team is not ready to participate in the Premier League next season.
They were struggling with relegation at the end, so they know that in order for the Championship to be competitive in the Premier League, they need the team depth that is clearly lacking at Elland Road at this point.
Manager Daniel Fark is currently focusing on attack signing this summer, particularly striker and attack midfielder.
Their summer transfer business has so far focused on defensive and midfield signatures, but now they are ready to revamp their offense.
Fark is looking for a striker who can lead the team’s offense in preparation for a challenging season on England’s top flight.
Leeds United provided the opportunity to sign Mehdi Taremi
The newly promoted party reportedly provided the opportunity to sign the strikers who participated in this year’s Champions League final.
Inter Milan is actively restructuring its offensive division ahead of its 2025/26 campaign, with veteran striker Mehdi Taremi likely to be one of the names coming out the door.
As the club is already scrutinizing the market for its fresh offensive talent, Taremi’s future in Sansilo is uncertain, and British suitors seem to have already drawn attention.
Leeds United is one of the clubs linked to the experienced Iranian International.
According to journalist Graeme Bailey, the intermediary has moved Taremi’s name forward as a summer addition to his Yorkshire outfit.
“Less was offered the opportunity to sign Medi Taremi from Inter Milan, but that’s not something they’re completely discounting.” Bailey told TBR Football.
“He’s a high calible player and he’s available. Inter wants to move him because they can sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United.
“So, oddly enough, Leeds could actually help their rivals.
“I think you’re interested in Taremi. They know he’s a good striker. They’ll give you advice from Red Bull. Leeds has one of the best scouting networks in the world currently available.”
Daniel Fark needs a younger, more consistent striker
Signing an experienced attacker like Taremi is a smart business in Leeds, but given that the attacker is 33 years old and clearly above his best, he needs young and athletes to attack.
Taremi is someone who can be used as a backup option, not as a starting striker for a club that is trying to mark in the Premier League.
