Chelsea reportedly have not pursued the move to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, paving the way for Manchester United.
Nigeria International is currently on loan at Galatasaray and enjoys another prolific season, but it is still unclear where he will go next.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea rarely returns to Osimhen.
Meanwhile, a follow-up from the mirror says this appears to be a boost for Man Utd. He wants to sign Osimhen as it is available for a bargain price of just £40 million.
The 26-year-old is the final year of his Naples contract and is unlikely to stay there, but he is certainly no longer in Galatasaray than his current season’s loan.
If United could hit Osimhen for cheap, it could be a great business, and it’s amazing to see Chelsea not pushing him in many ways.
Victor Osimhen looks like both Chelsea and Man United need it
Osimhen has 30 goals in 35 games in all competitions this season, making it easy to imagine him affecting a more competitive league.
Chelsea will certainly find that Osimhen has been upgraded ahead of the inconsistent, unreliable Nicholas Jackson, while Christopher Nukank is also quite poor and will certainly leave.
Bruce needs an elite center like Osimhen, but they don’t seem ready to gamble him.
United doesn’t seem to share these concerns, so it will be interesting to see how it works if he ends up arriving at Old Trafford.
The former reel guy will certainly be a massive upgrade to Rasmus Hozilund, who is struggling with. So the CFC will live to regret not making a move for him when he is available at such a generous price.
