Chelsea is reportedly interested in signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbswhite during the summer transfer period.
The 25-year-old has been very good at Nottingham Forest, scoring seven goals in all competitions last season and earning 10 assists along the way.
The midfielder could prove to be a great acquisition for Chelsea, who needs more creativity in the final third. He can be slotted into 10 roles. He has the ability to work on the side as well. Gibbs White adds creativity and technical capabilities in the final third.
According to former Premier League scout Mick Brown, Chelsea is monitoring his situation and players are interested in joining them. He hopes to compete in the UEFA Champions League next season. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can secure an agreement with his club.
Arsenal is also linked to Gibbs White.
Chelsea can use Morgan Gibbs White
Brown told Football Insider:
“He’s a very talented player and will bring energy to their midfield, and that’s what they want.
“He is athletic and can make a huge difference on both ends of the pitch.
“He wants to play in the Champions League, so he’s probably interested in this move.”
Gibbs White is an essential asset to Nottingham Forest and they wouldn’t want to lose him easily. They were able to request a premium for his signature. They are also looking at his potential alternatives.
Chelsea need to improve their team
Meanwhile, Chelsea have returned to the Champions League. They need to add more quality to the sides. If they want to do well next season, they will need more creativity in the final third.
Signing quality players will become a priority for them this summer. The 25-year-old is a proven performer in the Premier League and was able to make an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge.
