According to Simon Phillips, Chelsea are reportedly ready to allow Malo Gusto’s surprise sale at the transfer window this summer.
Gusto is said to have been the subject of Bayern Munich’s approach, which contacted Chelsea to inquire about the availability of French people.
It appears that Chelsea could consider Gusto leaving for a reasonable price despite some powerful displays on the right back since moving to Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old may mean that the club wants to move him, as Reese James’ perfect fit isn’t necessarily the first option for the Blues.
Josh Atianpon’s breakthrough could have an impact on Malo Gusto’s future
With James ahead of Justus in the order of the pecking order, Phillips also reports that the presence of talented youngster Josh Akiamapon can persuade the CFC.
Chelsea’s academy has produced many incredible talent recently, and it appears that Achiam Pong feels ready to influence the first team:
James certainly remained the first choice on Enzo Maresca’s part, but the presence of Akia Upon as a team player may mean that it makes sense for it to cash in attractively.
Should Chelsea sell mallo?
Chelsea fans certainly have mixed feelings about this.
The West London Giants have invested a lot in younger players like Mykhailo Mudryk and Nicolas Jackson.
However, Gusto is a solid defender for Chelsea and is still young enough, so he will certainly continue to improve.
Bavaria may come back with a lot of money for the French. In that case, Chelsea could be a good opportunity to make a big profit for players who don’t start many games anyway.
Still, with James’ injuries, they may find they need him more often than they think!
