Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Alistair was reportedly a target for Real Madrid, and they were able to use Arda Guler to sign him.
The 26-year-old Argentine International has been outstanding since joining Liverpool, and he is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. He has helped the club win major trophies, but it’s no surprise that Real Madrid is keen on the Mac Allister.
They had to replace the club’s legendary Luka Modric, and identified the World Cup winner as their target. According to Fichajes, they were able to offer Turkish midfielder Arda Guler a contract to sign players. The Turkish attackers are incredible talent, but there were not enough opportunities at Spanish clubs.
It might be ideal for him to leave them behind. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool is trying to accept him as part of the deal.
Liverpool can’t afford to sell Alexis Mac Alistair
The Mac Allister is now an essential asset to Liverpool and they wouldn’t want to lose him easily. Real Madrid may have to pay a premium to complete the transaction. Players rarely force an exit from Liverpool. The player and his father recently admitted that the midfielder is happy in Liverpool, and he has been enjoying his time at the club.
It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Real Madrid is paying attention to several Liverpool players
Real Madrid has already signed a free transfer from Liverpool to Trent Alexander Arnold, and they are also considered keen to Conate’s Ibrahima. It appears they are about to raid the Premier League champions for multiple players.
Guler proves to be a quality long-term acquisition for most teams. Jose Mourinho has previously labelled him as a player of “exceptional quality.” But Liverpool can’t afford to lose their best player.
