Newcastle United are planning a summer raid in Liverpool, with two major players in their sights and potential transfer costs exceeding €110 million.

However, despite the previous links, Darwinnes is not part of their plans.

The Uruguayan striker endures annoyed season at Anfield and struggles to finish and manage just seven goals in all competitions. Under Arne Slot, Nunez’s future appears uncertain as it is reportedly less likely to last alongside the 25-year-old.

However, Newcastle decides to see elsewhere. According to Give Me Sport, the Magpies are targeting Liverpool’s Duo Dio Gojota and Harvey Elliott.

Eddie Howe is said to be a great admirer of both Jota and Elliott, and Newcastle is now pushing them to sign as part of their summer rebuild.

There was talk of a potential swap deal involving Alexander Isaac as Liverpool is eager to sign the Swedish striker of the inform. The Reds see Isaac as a top-class centre-forward who can help fill the blanks if Mohamed Salah leaves with a free transfer. However, Newcastle is not going to let go of Isak. This means they will need to negotiate another transaction to secure Jota and Elliott.

Newcastle’s hopes to land Jota and Elliott could be boosted by Liverpool’s willingness to sell. Both players were included in a list of five potential summer departures compiled by journalist Florian Plettenberg. Others on the list include goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, midfielder Watalend, and Juventus lender Federico Chiesa.

Interestingly, Nunes was not named a potential exit, but his future remains in the air as Liverpool is about to rebuild the offense. But what’s certain is that Newcastle is not the one who will take him out of Liverpool’s hands.
