Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Kanous is currently on loan at German club VfB Stuttgart.
According to a report in Germany’s BILD, it is unlikely that the player will return to the Championship club in the future. The German team has been impressed with his performances so far and is ready to sign the Moroccan permanently.
Leicester’s financial boost
Leicester City received a transfer fee of around 3.5 million euros for the player, with the German team having the option to make him a permanent transfer for a fee of around 18.5 million euros. It will be interesting to see if they are willing to pay in the coming months.
There is no doubt that the Moroccan is a promising player of high quality and could develop into a star for the German national team. They have the money to make a deal and it wouldn’t be surprising if they decide to pay a buyout for a player. The midfielder has scored two goals in four league games for the German club.
Meanwhile, Leicester City are in financial trouble and need to make ends meet. Selling the midfielder on a permanent basis would be ideal for them.
They are currently competing in the Championship and aim to return to the top league soon. They need money to strengthen their squad and selling the Moroccan talent would be ideal for them. It could help them acquire quality players.
Bilal El Kanus will be keen on this move
The midfielder, on the other hand, would not want to compete in the second tier of English football. A permanent move to a German club would be an attractive option for him. That will allow him to compete at a high level. He will no doubt be attracted by the possibility of playing for a German club long-term.
