Manchester United are interested in signing River Plate playmaker Franco Mustantino at the end of the season.
The 17-year-old Argentine playmaker has received high praise throughout Europe, and he has a brighter future than he has. He is considered a world-class talent and is often referred to as a “special” player.
Apart from Manchester United, Chelsea are also enthusiastic about the players.
Lecture with the player’s agent
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will be able to make the deal. According to a TBR Football report, Manchester United technical director Jason Wilcox is pushing for the 17-year-old’s move and wants the club to sign a contract.
The report also claims that player representatives were in Europe to hold consultations with multiple clubs, and Manchester United had similar meetings. It is still unclear whether they will follow up on their interests with the official offer to sign the playmaker.
Franco Mastantuono will be a future investment
Mastantuono has the tools to develop into a top-class player, and he could become a future asset for the club. Manchester United have done well in the past to develop talented young players, and they have been able to play an important role in his development. The opportunity to move into the Premier League is exciting for South America too. Normal football and England were able to help him improve further and accelerate his development.
Manchester United will need to improve their team during the summer transfer period, and signing talented young players may be a wise decision. They need to build a team for their future, and the 17-year-old could be a key player for them in the long run.
He can act as a central offensive midfielder and wide player. He adds goals, creativity and talent aside.
It remains to be seen whether they can agree to a reasonable deal for him.
