Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing experienced Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka at the end of the season.
According to Christian Folk, the 30-year-old has signed a contract with a German club until 2026, and he is not keen on an early exit.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can convince him to join the club. They can use a powerful presence like him in the middle of the park, and the 30-year-old will be a quality gain in the short term. They were long-term adorable players.
According to Fork, the player has recently switched agents and is now represented by the roofing agency representing Liverpool’s Captain Virgill Van Dik.
It will be interesting to see if connections with Premier League clubs can drive potential summer moves.
Goretzka has been an important player at the Bundesliga Club this season and there is no reason to leave them in the summer. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will be able to convince him.
Man United need someone like Leon Goretzka
It’s a disappointing season for the Red Devils, with quality lacking across the pitch. Signing a militant midfielder can prove to be a wise decision. He adds physicality and defensive steel to the sides. Additionally, German International adds a much-needed drive in the middle of the park.
The midfielder is currently making £14.6 million per season in Bayern Munich, and his salary could also be an issue for the clubs trying to sign him. At 30, the club will hesitate to offer him a favorable contract. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.
Manchester United must introduce the reinforcements they need for summer if they want to go back and bounce back next season.
