Leeds United attacker Mario Joseph has linked his move away from the club during the summer transfer.
La Liga’s outfit Real Betis is reportedly interested in securing his signature.
Reports say they refused a £10 million bid against the 21-year-old attacker. The offer was submitted during the January transfer period. It will be interesting to see if they will return with improved offers this summer.
According to Uncheckthey have now submitted a loan offer with purchase options. It remains to be seen whether Leeds is ready to accept it.
Mateo Joseph needs to go ahead
Joseph doesn’t appear to have a future in Leeds and has consistently linked his moves that have been away from the club over the past few months. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Leeds decided to let him go this summer.
The 21-year-old must play regularly at this stage of his career, and Leeds is unlikely to offer him the opportunity.
A trip to Spain with the real Betis might be ideal. They were an attractive destination for players and he wanted to get his career back on track with regular first-team football.
Leeds may need to raise funds for signature
Meanwhile, Leeds has secured promotion to the Premier League and will need to strengthen their teams to compete on top flights. Offloading fringe players will help you balance your book and allow for further investment in your team.
A perfect option to sell Joseph is a desirable one. Leeds will probably cash in now rather than agreeing to a loan with the option to buy. Permanent sales allow them to reinvest their revenue directly into their team.
It is still unclear how the situation will develop, but all parties may hope to resolve preparations for future campaigns soon.
