Leeds United are interested in signing Bournemouth defender James Hill.
According to Mark McAdam, Leeds wants to sign players before the summer windows close. Manager Daniel Fark is reportedly a 23-year-old defender admirer, and it will be interesting to see if they can close the move anytime soon.
He is the final year of his contract with Cherry and could be used in a reasonable amount. Hill linked up with top Premier League clubs a few years ago.
Leeds can use Hill this season
Leeds needs more quality and depth in defensive units, and signing the 23-year-old is a wise decision. He can operate as a central defender and as a right-back. His versatility would be a huge bonus for Leeds if he can get the deal done. They have secured promotions to the Premier League and need quality players to survive on top flights. They want to establish themselves as regulars in the Premier League this season.
On the other hand, he rarely gets regular game time at Bournemouth. Moving to Leeds might be ideal for him. Leeds is a big club and if they provide him with a clear plan for his development, the defenders could be drawn to the idea of joining the club.
Can Leeds sign James Hill?
It remains to be seen whether Leeds can now secure an agreement with Cherry. Bournemouth has already approved the departure of multiple defenders this summer, with the defense force lacking details. It would be interesting to see if the 23-year-old is ready to let the club go.
Leeds certainly has the finances to get the deal done, and it remains to be seen how things will develop over the next few days.
