Liverpool is interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Mark Guech during the summer windows.
According to a report by The Telegraph, the 24-year-old is scheduled to leave the London Club this summer, and Liverpool is a favorite to sign Guehi.
But they will face competition from Premier League rival Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham also wanted to sign the players during the January transfer period, so they failed to offer him. They remained eager to sign him and they were able to return with offers this summer.
Marc Guehi improves both teams
Both teams require more depth in their defensive units, and the 24-year-old is an ideal acquisition. Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate suffer from injuries issues and need more depth on the sides. Jarrell Quanza was sold earlier this summer.
In addition, Conate is in the final year of the contract, and he is linked to the exit.
As far as Tottenham is concerned, Christian Romero is tied to the summer departure and needs to fill in the void he left behind.
Guehi is available as a bargain
England International could be the ideal acquisition for both teams and he could help them improve. It would be interesting to see where he ends. Both clubs’ finances will continue to win contracts. He may be available for reasonable amounts due to the circumstances of the contract. Guehi will become a free agent. Next summer and Crystal Palace are under pressure to sell him.
The 24-year-old is aiming to join the top teams that can win the trophy, and it would be difficult to refuse the opportunity to join the Premier League champions for him. Liverpool have consistently fought for major trophies and they will be an attractive destination for defenders.
