Liverpool is reportedly considering signing a new central defender during the January transfer period, with several candidates being nominated.
A report from Talksport explains that Reds saw several names they didn’t pursue in the summer.
It is not yet clear whether this means they will return for them, but the report mentions Paris Saint-Germain centre back Willian Pacho as one possible option.
According to TransferMarkt, Pacho is impressed with PSG and is worth 65 million euros, so Liverpool’s accomplishment is no easy task.
This is not the first time Liverpool has linked to Pacho. Pacho looked like a player with a big future in the game.
When Liverpool tried to hijack Willian Pacho’s move to PSG
According to Le 10 Sport, the LFC was then trying to hijack PCHO’s move to PSG. The 23-year-old is like a player the Merseyside giants would have done well to bring it to Anfield.
Perhaps there will be another opportunity for Liverpool to land Pacho, but it seems difficult to imagine PSG being eager to sell.
Ecuador International was a brilliant player at Park de Princess and played a key role on the side of Luis Enrique, who won the Champions League last season.
Who else can Liverpool sign in to defense?
According to a report from Talksport, Liverpool also saw Sven Botman, so it could be another name to watch alongside Ousmane Diomande.
However, most Reds fans imagine they are keen to see a return of their deal with Crystal Palace’s Mark Ngwehi.
England International is heading towards the end of its contract with the palace, so it could be a free and ideal option this January, or next summer.
