Liverpool hopes to sign a quality striker at the end of the season, identifying Aintrak Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitique as targets.
According to a report from Football Insider, German costumes don’t want to lose players anytime soon, so if the club calls, they will ask for a fair amount. Liverpool will have to pay around £80 million to close the transaction.
The striker has 21 goals this season, establishing himself as one of the best young attackers in European football. Aside from his ability to find the back of the net, he is equally good at creating opportunities for his teammates and taking on the defender with talent and agility.
The player has nine assists to his name this season. He can prove to be the ideal acquisition of Liverpool, and it remains to be seen whether they are ready to beat the bank for him.
Liverpool needs Hugo Ekitique
Liverpool desperately needs quality strikers. Darwin Nunes was unable to score consistently, and Diogo Jota was a shadow of his previous self since returning from injury.
Liverpool is overly dependent on Mohamed Sarah and needs more quality to their rank. Ekitike has all the tools to develop into a world-class player, and Liverpool was able to develop him into a future star.
Players will certainly be excited to move into the Premier League. British regular football could accelerate his development. Furthermore, Liverpool is one of the largest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to play for them can be difficult for any player to refuse.
Ekitike is highly regarded in Europe, and former Dutch international Wesley Sneijder criticized him as a player of “Neymar’s bounty.” Sneijder likened him to Kylian Mbappe.
