Liverpool striker Darwin Nunes has linked his move away from the club during the summer transfer.
He had an overwhelming season with the Reds, scoring just seven goals in all competitions. According to TBR Football, Liverpool manager Arne Slot had an honest conversation with players towards the end of last season and was informed that he is not a key player for the club in the future.
Darwin Nunes is ready to seal the Liverpool exit
The players are now accepting the club’s decisions and seem willing to leave them. The player is rated at £65 million, and the Saudi club could potentially provide him with an exit route. The players were initially keen to stay in Europe, but Nunes’ high ratings have not gone well with European suitors.
The player is currently open to moving to Saudi Arabia, and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be able to accelerate his departure. They are trying to improve their attacking units this summer, linking with Alexander Isaac and Hugo Ekichike.
Both players were excellent for their respective clubs last season and were able to help Liverpool improve. Premier League champions need someone they can trust to lead the line for them. Nunes struggles to finish and make decisions in the final third. Ideally, I’d like to trade him this summer.
Liverpool needs a reliable finisher
Liverpool created many opportunities last season, but they were unable to clear those opportunities and cost a big game. A reliable finisher can make a big difference for them.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old South American will try to get his career back on track with regular football at another club. Nunes struggled with regular game times at Liverpool last season. He was considered a world-class talent during his time at Benfica, but it remains to be seen whether he will be able to return to that level.
