Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for two Premier League midfielders as questions remain over Casemiro’s future.
The Red Devils’ experienced midfielder is nearing the end of his contract and could be set to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer.
Manchester United appear to be targeting two key players to fill that void, with Sky Sports claiming they are interested in both Brighton’s Carlos Baleva and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.
According to reports, United continue to work on potential signings in the upcoming transfer window, and it seems clear that midfield is one of their key priorities.
Manchester United need reinforcements in midfield after lacking reinforcements in the summer
United have had a busy summer, bringing in a completely new front three in Brian Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesco, and completely revamping their attack.
Still, MUFC could not perform well in the midfield. It’s no surprise that top talents like Baleva and Andersson now have plans firmly in place after their stellar performances in the Premier League.
Both are proven players who can make an immediate impact in Ruben Amorim’s side, and are still young enough to have the potential to develop over the next few years.
Will United continue to attract big name signings?
United proved this summer that they are a huge name capable of attracting elite player signings, even without European football.
This will certainly be a boost for the club as they look to re-enter the recruitment market needed to get back to where they want to be.
We imagine there are other players looking for exciting players like Bareva and Andersson, but United look well-equipped to compete so they won’t miss out on an experienced player like Casemiro too much.
