Manchester United reportedly views Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraora as a potential alternative to Reuben Amorim.
The Portuguese manager is under a lot of pressure after a disappointing start to the season. Manchester United were spending heavily during the summer transfer period and were expected to start the season positively. They have already crashed from the English League Cup and have won one victory from four Premier League matches.
Will Amorim be replaced by Iraaura?
The Amorim was on thin ice and he could quickly show the door. Iraola has been identified as a potential alternative. He has an exceptional job with Cherry, and the Spanish manager has averaged 1.46 points per game at Bournemouth since taking over. Cherry has been doing very well in the Premier League so far, earning three of the four wins. Despite selling several key players this summer, they were able to perform at a high level.
Iraola shows you’re good at managing your club with a budget. He’s certainly good at Manchester United’s incredible resources.
However, Bournemouth wants to agree to a new deal with the manager. The 43-year-old is an essential asset to them, and they are trying to tie him into a long-term deal. According to TBR Football, they hope that the 43-year-old will commit his long-term future to the club.
Andoni Iraora is planning to sign a new deal
Graeme Bailey argued:
“Iraara’s current deal will expire next summer. Bournemouth is currently sitting on the 43-year-old without putting pressure on him for consultation.
“We understand that Pinto is telling the Bournemouth boss that Iraaura expects to commit.”
Development will come as a blow to Manchester United. If they decide to fire the Portuguese manager, it is still unclear whether they will move on to other targets. It will be interesting to see if Amorim can save his job and turn things around in Old Trafford over the next few weeks. He has a talented team at his own freedom, and he now needs to make the most of his players.
