Manchester United is reportedly considering a move to Marseille centre-back and former West Ham man Knife Aguerdo.
Moroccan International never made much impression on his time in the Premier League with West Ham, and he set out for Marseille this summer after a loan spell at Real Sociedad.
According to Fichajes, Man Wood now appears to be impressed with Aguerdo’s shape, and they are keen to bring him back to England.
The Red Devils are considering placing a strong bid on Aglude in January, but it is not entirely clear whether they will try to lend him out forever.
Is Nayef Aguerd really good for Manchester United?
Agloud may be in great shape for Marseille, but there is certainly no guarantee that he will maintain that level of performance at Old Trafford.
The 29-year-old has already shown that he is not sufficient for the demands of the English game, and it has been a bit late in his career for that to change.
Of course, United can make a stronger defense, but that doesn’t mean they’re looking for the old options available.
Aguerd forwarding links indicate United’s options are more limited
Perhaps linking with players like Aguerd shows that this is a club that cannot attract the best players in the world.
MUFC has been downhill for a while now, but their reputation as a big club is still working well for them in the transfer market as they were able to spend a lot of money on exciting talent.
But now, the growing number of the world’s best players is going to make it extremely harassing to go to United and see their careers go backwards, as many others have.
In that case, signing someone like Aguerd could be a decent option, or at least the most realistic option.
