Adam Wharton has linked his move away from Crystal Palace in recent months, and has been interested in players in January.
Manchester United has not prepared a January offer to sign the 21-year-old England International, according to a TeamTalk report. They will face competition between Chelsea and Tottenham, who are monitoring his situation.
Adam Wharton is the Elite Outlook
He is one of the best young players in the Premier League and it’s no surprise that the top team wants to sign him. However, it is very difficult for the club to drive him out of the palace in January. They wouldn’t want to sell one of the best players in the middle of the season. It disrupts the entire campaign’s plan.
Furthermore, the player hasn’t pushed the exit either, and Crystal Palace is not under pressure to sell him. Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham will have to wait until the summer to endure the chance to sign him.
Man United and Chelsea need Wharton
Meanwhile, the Red Devils need someone who can control the tempo of the game and protect them defensively. The 21-year-old certainly fits his profile. Wharton could be the solution to a problem in the middle, and he could develop into a world-class player.
Similarly, Chelsea needed more control in the middle, allowing the 21-year-old to complete the midfield unit alongside Enzo Fernandez and Moise Skyseko. As far as Tottenham is concerned, the 21-year-old could be the ideal partner for Joan Palgínya, who is at the heart of the midfield. He helps them improve further and fight for major trophies.
All three clubs could be exciting destinations for future players, and it will be interesting to see where he ends.
